Champion of The Year Award

Charter Oak is a proud sponsor of Best Buddies in Connecticut. Best Buddies is a non-profit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integration employment, leadership development, inclusive living and family support for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities.

Every year Best Buddies nominates professionals and community leaders that advocate and support Best Buddies to become a Champion of the Year.

We are proud to say that one of our own employees has been nominated for this great title!
Ron Wertz, Vice President Marketing Director, has been recognized by Best Buddies as an advocate for their mission. The Champion of the Year will be chosen at their annual gala in October.

Good luck Ron! We hope you bring home the title of Champion of the Year!

American Heart Association Sponsorship

Charter Oak is proud to once again be a sponsor and partner up with the American Heart Association (AHA).

AHA hosts a yearly walk and this year it will be taking place at UConn Avery Point on Sunday, October 6th. We will be getting a group of Trailblazers to join the walk, so we hope to see you there.

We are also working with AHA to bring free services to our members in the upcoming months, so stay tuned!
