Charter Oak And Board Member Win Awards At The 2024 Credit Union League of Connecticut Awards Program

Published On: October 29th, 2024Categories: News & Events, Press Release

Waterford, CT – October 25, 2024 –  Charter Oak Federal Credit Union’s Marketing Team and Annette Janovic, a dedicated member of its Board of Directors, recently received awards at the 2024 Credit Union League of Connecticut Awards Program. Each year, The Credit Union League of Connecticut (League) presents awards to Connecticut credit union management, staff, and volunteers for individual accomplishments and to credit unions for their outstanding contributions to their members and communities and the credit union movement.

This year, Annette Janovic was awarded the Credit Union Volunteer Recognition Award for her extraordinary commitment to the credit union movement. Annette serves on the board at Charter Oak and was recently designated as a Credit Union Development Educator, after completing the National Credit Union Foundation’s Development Education program in June 2024. Annette also serves on the board of the League’s foundation – Credit Unions Building Financial Independence and has been a mainstay on that board, supporting the foundation’s financial coaching program. She is also very active with the League’s financial reality fair program, volunteering to chair the committee to help ensure the programs are successful.

Charter Oak’s Marketing Team was also awarded the Marketing Excellence Wild Card Entry Award for their data modeling and community events. As data is an integral piece in developing strategic decisions in marketing, Charter Oak has worked to restructure their data and build a model on how and where data is collected, map out products and create touchpoints and conversations around these findings to increase campaign performance. For events, Charter Oak has changed their approach to events they sponsor and host. Included at the events are the use of branded cornhole boards, giant ring toss, giant Connect Four, and a custom coloring board. They’ve also expanded to hosting events at their Headquarters to include live local band performances, an annual Trunk or Treat event, drive-in movie nights and clothing drives to support local non-profit organizations.
